This week, the East Coast of America braved itself against the devastating effects of superstorm Sandy. And as the dust settles after the drama, celebrities have shared their personal experiences of the worst storm the US has seen for a good while.First Lady Michelle Obama led the reactions, urging people to band together. "If you’re looking for a way to support storm relief efforts, please consider donating to the American Red Cross," she wrote on Twitter. I'll wait to see what blows in with the wind. "While Russell's film ground to a halt, plucky TV presenter Ryan Seacrest travelled from LA to report from the Big Apple. He documented the severity of the storm and posted a picture of cars floating along the financial district in torrents of murky flood water.

Chelsea Clinton captured the short-circuited New York skyline, eerily gloomy and lit by only a few lights. Her caption read: "Our view last night. No skyline. Remains dark inside too. "There was some light relief courtesy of Alec Baldwin who wandered out to walk his cute little dogs. And model Lily Aldridge captured a rainbow shining over Central Park as the storm blew away from the city that never sleeps. Mela
