Former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole could be set to shine in front of the cameras once more. The Northern lass is said to have been offered a "lucrative contact" to host her own chat show. Sky1 are the power players behind the bid to take Cheryl from pop princess to presenter, with a source telling the Daily Star: "Sky1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up. They've been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month."

The tone of the programme would be "emotional and confessional", making full use of Cheryl's warm, friendly demeanour. She proved her worth as a judge on X Factor, where her approachable management style made her popular amongst the show's hopefuls. Whatever happens with Cheryl's show, it will have to play out alongside more pressing work and personal commitments. She and her Girls Aloud band mates - Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - have just announced their plans to embark on a tour and release a greatest hits album.

After a three-year hiatus, the girls confirmed they will reunite for a 12-date arena tour and will release their greatest hits compilation, Ten, on November 26. Girls Aloud have also taken up a new venture with their tour's official sponsor, Pandora, and have personally designed their own bracelets for the jewellery company. The five trinkets will reflect each of the band member's personalities. At the same time, Cheryl continues nurturing her fledgling relationship with dancer love Tre Holloway. Cheryl first met Tre in 2010 when he took part in one of her numbers on the live X Factor shows.

Romance is said to have blossomed around her June 30 birthday, when Tre was a guest at her Las Vegas birthday party. She has recently been spotted on various dinner dates with the man who has made her smile again after the heartbreak of her split from footballer Ashley Cole. When pressed on her romance during an interview with Jonathan Ross, she said: "I'm having a lot of fun right now and I'm a very happy person".
