Heidi Klum has opened up about her new romance with her bodyguard. The German supermodel, who split from husband Seal this year after seven years of marriage, is now dating her bodyguard Martin Kirsten, and has revealed things are going well. Heidi told Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show: "I'm very happy."
The catwalk queen also revealed that she has watched Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner's 1992 film The Bodyguard - about a singer who falls for the man employed to protect her - since she started seeing Martin, because of the parallels in the relationship. She confessed: "I've actually watched that movie since [I started dating my bodyguard]. I had to!"The star, who throws a celebrity-studded Halloween party every year, also joked that she might be wearing a costume from the Bodyguard for the bash next year. Heidi didn't have the chance to dress up this year because she cancelled the annual party after Hurricane Sandy struck the east coast of America last month.Heidi tweeted her followers about the change of plan, writing: "Hope you and your loved ones are safe after the storm. Cancelling my Halloween party...postponing to a haunted Christmas. "A picture accompanied the tweet of the blonde beauty wrapped up against the elements in a quilted coat, beanie hat and wellington boots. She appeared to be standing on a rain-lashed New York street. The mum-of-four would have attended her party solo for the first time in eight years - without being accompanied by her estranged musician husband Seal. The pair split in January after admitting they had "grown apart".
Seal used to love dressing up for Halloween as much as his wife. Last year he donned a monkey suit so the couple could dress as a pair of playful primates. In previous years he has joined her in being a crow and a futuristic robot. Although the German supermodel tried to keep her new romance under wraps at the beginning, since going public she has spoken highly of her new man. To TV host Katie Couric she confessed: "He's been with our family for the last four years. He's cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously. I trust him with my children's life. He's a great man, you know, and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
