Catwalk queens Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have been reunited for the birthday bash of the year. The ladies led dazzling celebrations for Vladimir Doronin's 50th year. The Russian billionaire has been dating Naomi since 2008, and the man she previously described as "wonderful" was certainly given a treat to mark his landmark birthday.
Documenting the opulence was Naomi's friend, W magazine's Fashion & Style Director Edward Enninful. He snared a prestigious invite and treated the world to exclusive tweets and pictures from inside the magnificent the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, India. The sprawling venue's interior struck the balance between sumptuous, traditional textures and an Art Deco nightclub setting. "'Naomi Campbell is throwing the most amazing party right now in India," Edward tweeted, with accompanying pictures of Ms Cambpell's extravagant feather boa outfit and Kate Moss – aka Kitty Kat on the night – striking a pose in a gold lame dress. The girls were paying homage to the 1930s, Great Gatsby inspired dress code. The other theme of the celebrations was traditional Indian regalia, which fellow model Eva Herzigova showcased to perfection.
Other guests enjoying the evening were Sarah, Duchess of York and model Karolina Kurkova. Legendary diva Diana Ross serenaded revellers with her glittering back catalogue. The raven-haired singer was paid a tidy $500,000 for lending her voice to the soiree.Naomi's million-pound budget translated into some spectacular details. Vintage Rolls Royces were laid on to ferry her starry guests "in style." Her people stayed at the $1,000-per-night Umaid Palace Hotel, their suites kindly charged to the model's account. "Thank you for the best party ever," her friend Edward tweeted. Another man who would have been particularly grateful is birthday boy Vladislav. With a bank balance that reportedly teeters just shy of $1 billion dollars, the billionaire is used to the best, and Naomi certainly didn't disappoint when it came to organising his lavish celebrations. There's no doubt the star wanted only the best for the man she once described as "a sweetie" and "very special".
More than four years into their union it's the real thing between the catwalk queen and her property mogul beau. They've been inseparable since meeting at the 2008 Cannes film festival, with 42-year-old Naomi becoming increasingly smitten – and serene. Their loving, stable relationship has certainly had a positive effect on her. Newspaper stories of her anger management issues are a thing of the past. These have been replaced instead by headlines about her charity work together with her friend, Gordon Brown's wife Sarah, and another unexpected connection in the form of Turkish leader's wife Emine Erdogan, with whom she bonded over their interest in girls' education on a past visit to Istanbul.
