Ever since Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rekindled their romance, Twi-hards have been waiting for the day they stepped out again in public. That moment finally arrived on Monday night, when the pair teamed up to unveil the final film in the Twilight saga. While there were no big public displays of affection, the couple looked happy and relaxed in each other's company as they walked the red carpet together in LA. At one point they posed for photos with their arms interlinked, much to the delight of their fans.

Knowing the spotlight would be firmly centred on them, the duo had dressed to impress. Kristen vamped it up in a stunning golden Zuhair Murad gown which featured see through panels showing off her slim physique. Her brunette hair tumbled over one shoulder, with a braid at the back showing off her neck. Robert, meanwhile, shimmered in an emerald-hued suit by Gucci, which he teamed with a paired with a light grey shirt and charcoal tie. The British star spent time signing autographs and chatting with fans, many of whom had camped out for days just to get a glimpse of the stars of the vampire romance movies.Joining the couple at the Breaking Dawn Part 2 world premiere were several of the film's stars. Looking equally dapper as Rob were Taylor Lautner – aka Jacob Black – and Kellan Lutz, who plays Robert's on-screen brother Emmet Cullen. Meanwhile beautiful in pastel-coloured gowns were fellow members of the Cullen clan Nikki Reid and Ashley Greene. Robert and Kristen have not been seen at a red carpet event together since July, when their relationship was rocked amidst claims Kristen had been unfaithful with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Saunders. The film-maker is married to British model Liberty Ross, with whom he has two children - Skyla, seven, and Tennyson, five. Compromising pictures of Kristen and Rupert surfaced and the actress then issued a public apology to her boyfriend. She said: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." Kristen retreated from the spotlight for a while, but there was no such luxury for Rob, who hit the promotional trail for his David Kronenberg move Cosmopolis shortly after moving out of the couple's LA pad and spending time away at the California estate of his Water For Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon. Friends maintained the couple " couldn't live without each other", though, and after a series of tearful phone calls, they apparently met up and decided to give things another go.
