Ronnie Wood's fiancée Sally Humphreys showed off more than her newly engaged glow on Tuesday night, when the couple attended the HBO documentary about the Rolling Stones, Crossfire Hurricane, in New York City. Looking gorgeous in a tight knee-length colourful dress, the 34-year-old brunette flashed her big platinum engagement ring for the first time.
The Rolling Stone proposed to theatre producer love Sally Humphreys last October, after dating for six months. The guitarist is said to have grown close to Sally in November after he split with blonde promotions girl Nicola Sargeant. Their romance apparently sparked while they worked together on the musician's show Ronnie Wood – I Feel Like Playing - Live at the Ambassadors. Recently, Sally has confessed that the former hellraiser asked his future father-in-law, 66, for her hand in marriage. Asked how Ronnie proposed, she said: "We've known each other for a long time. My parents were down for the Crossfire Hurricane premiere and he asked my dad around then. Then he asked me. But I knew it was on the cards because we'd already talked about it."
Talking about the nuptials, she said: "The wedding will be very simple, nothing big or flashy, and we haven't set a date. There's no problem with the age difference. I can understand why people would have a problem with it but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. We get on very well. He's very funny and very talented. There's the Ronnie that everyone thinks that they know and the very talented artist and musician. "According to sources close to the couple, the rocker has asked close friend Rod Stewart to be best man at his wedding next year. Rod, 67, will apparently share his best man duties with Rolling Stone Keith Richards and one of Ronnie's three sons.
This will be the rocker's third marriage. He was first married to Krissy Findlay, with whom he has son Jesse, from 1971 to 1978. He ended things with his second wife Jo in 2008 after 23 years of marriage to begin a romance with then 18-year-old Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.Ronnie's other serious girlfriend was 32-year-old Brazilian model Ana Araujo (pictured below). But they split in October 2011 after two years together, with friends saying they were prone to arguments. "I'm like Picasso, painting up the ladder after leaving his mistress at the bottom after a row," he said at the time. Sources said Ronnie preferred to stay at home, while Ana like to go out to social events, and this often lead to disagreements. But although they went their separate ways the pair are still friends – Ana moved into a flat in just a few doors down from Ronnie's house in Holland Park.He told the Telegraph: 'She's moved in two doors down from me. She's become the neighbour from hell. I'm joking, of course. We're friendly and everything, but she wants me to go round and visit the dogs and stuff. She is a bit nutty, but I quite like that about her. I seem to go for that sort of thing."
