Back in June, Hollywood star Charlize Theron stepped out in Beverley Hills sporting a drastic new hair style – a shaved head. Although the cut was required for her role in the upcoming film, Mad Max: Fury Road, the actress initially hid her new look with the help of various hats.

But now the star has embraced the style, and was seen happily posing with fans who had flocked to see her in action on set in Cape Town, South Africa. As a native of the country, Charlize looked relaxed on home soil and comfortable in her own skin. A terrace break with a chilled glass of the  finest champagne was the only clue to her A-list status. Her personal hairdresser Leslie Fremar was one of the first people to see her client's bold move, and voiced her opinion on the actress' new look, saying: "Charlize takes her trade very seriously. She's not afraid to put herself out there and transform into the character she’s playing. And let's be honest, she's so beautiful."

At home and off duty, Charlize certainly has her hands full. She became a mum in March after adopting little Jackson, who is said to be from her homeland, South Africa. The Monster star described the new addition to her family as "the coolest kid ever". "I've always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I've always known I wanted a family," she told UK Vogue. She added that her own mother had been hankering for a grandchild for some time. "I don't think my mum could wait any more!" she quipped. The beauty confirmed she will count on her relatives' support while raising Jackson, saying that "our family is everything". She is now embracing life as a single mother after separating from her long-term boyfriend Stuart Townsend in January 2011.

Fans were recently left surprised when stories began to circulate that Charlize's real-life love interest was none other than Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet. The rumour mill had it that the pair had become close after being introduced by mutual friends. Add to that pictures of them cuddled up at a recent awards ceremony, and celeb watchers were beginning to think they'd stumbled on an unlikely new couple. Funnnyman Eric later tweeted followers to comment on their 'romance'. "I wish people would stop spreading rumours that Charlize Theron and I are dating," he wrote. "It's starting to make Halle Berry jealous."
