Brian Conley has quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after falling ill. It comes days after viewers of the ITV1 show saw him break down in tears following a confrontation with David Haye when the boxer sparked a row by flicking two burning logs onto the forest floor. An ITV spokeswoman said: "Brian Conley has left the jungle due to medical reasons," but refused to go into more detail. "We will miss him in camp and wish him well," added the show's website. The 51-year-old quit the show on Monday night even though he seemed to be having a grand time dancing in a tutu with Ashley Roberts.
The pair wore matching rainbow outfits and entertained the other campers with a performance. There was better news for the newly-confident Helen Flanagan who faced her seventh bushtucker trial and won five out of a possible 12 stars by braving boxes of ants and blankets of cockroaches.David told the Bush Telegraph diary room: "She's producing the goods now. Our baby Helen, she's a true trouper and we're quietly confident now that she's going to produce the goods."
Another person seemingly getting used to jungle life was MP Nadine Dorries who told her campmates: "This has been so amazing for me. I realised that I have laughed so much. I realised that the day I entered politics is the day I stopped laughing. "But the good mood evaporated when dinner arrived and Hugo Taylor and Rosemary Shrager started to fall out over the cooking, and Hugo was left in tears after the chef branded him "rude".Meanwhile, Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent has defended her former on-screen sister Helen Flanagan's performance on the show, insisting the star is keeping viewers entertained.
Helen – who played Rosie Webster, sister of Brooke's character Sophie, in Corrie – took part in her seventh jungle trial this week, as some critics accused her of faking tears and tantrums on the show.
But Brooke tweeted: "Helen is NOT faking it. That's just her!! Trust me!! #helenforqueenofthejungle". She added: "1 Question... If Helen wasn't in there who would you all be talking about? "Brooke also expressed her joy after Helen won 12 meals for the camp. She wrote: "So proud of flanners tonight!!! That's my girl."
