Helen Flanagan has been the latests star to be voted out of the jungle after receiving the fewest number of votes on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. The former Coronation Street star, known on this series for failing a series of bushtucker trials, looked shocked when she was named as the latest celebrity to leave the camp, saying: "Oh my God." When quizzed by hosts Ant and Dec about her consecutive failures, Helen laughed off any notion of a "game plan"."Oh my God, I completely wish, because honestly, ever since I've been here I've just been absolutely cringing about how bad I'm going to look in these trials, thinking this is so humiliating - I will never be able to live this down," she said.
Before she was shown footage of her time on the show, the 22-year-old joked that she did not want to watch herself back. "Can I have a pillow to cringe?" she asked.Despite failing to succeed in the trials, she admited she was still "proud" of how she coped. "When I first came into the show I was thinking 'Yeah, I'm really strong-minded, I'll be able to do all the trials and things'. I didn't think they were going to be as hard. "Even though some of the trials were quite bad, I'm proud of myself because I feel like I did my best. "Meanwhile, during Monday night's show, Boxer David Haye failed to win food for all his jungle buddies after he could not collect all the stars during the bushtucker trial.
David was told that the trial, titled Cruelty Towers, involved going inside rooms in the tower to collect seven stars. However, he would not be the only guest checking in, he would be joined by a host of jungle critters including, snakes, spiders and a crocodile.
The 32-year-old entered the first room and was unfazed by the ostrich that occupied the reception area. He quickly removed the lightbulb and got the first star which prompted critters to fall.
He moved behind the reception desk to the pigeon holes and found the second star. Next up was one of the bedrooms which contained 12 snakes. The boxing champ searched the first set of draws, removed the pillow and slowly lifted the covers on the bed which held a host of various snakes. He quickly navigated round to the other side of the bed and found the next star in the bedside cabinet.
Moving into the next room, David was greeted by a crocodile who was laying on the bed. He had to remove one star from the light which plunged the room into darkness.
He slowly lifted the pillow and found the star. Confidently he stroked the crocodile and said: "He's not too bad," but then added: "If he'd started to move about I would have pooped myself."
Using his hands he hunted for the star. Promised a surprise, the roof of the room was edging down making the space smaller and he failed to collect the seventh star. "That was disgusting," he said afterwards. "I did my best, a lot of losers say that. Definitely by far the worst room I've been in and I've been in some crappy rooms in my time. I regard that as a big juicy loss, I didn't think there was anything that this jungle could throw at me that I couldn't do but how wrong was I?"
In the next room there were more than 50 spiders but he still found the next star. As he made his way to the final room he said, "I'm thinking you've saved the best until last". As he opened the door he was greeted by offal and flies.
