While they're keeping their exact wedding plans firmly under wraps, Brad Pitt has hinted that his nuptials to Angelina Jolie may not be far away. The father-of-six – who got engaged to Angelina in April wouldn't reveal an exact date, but did say the ceremony would be "soon". "The time is nigh," he told US publication People. "It's soon. I got a good feeling about it. "Brad admitted the couple's six kids were keen to see their parents tie the knot. "I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come," said the star.
Hollywood’s hottest couple have been together for seven years, but Brad only decided to pop the question in April, leading to uncertainty over whether the happy news was real. "Yes, it's confirmed," said Brad's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante. "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time." Although the pair initially declared that they would not tie the knot until gay couples achieved equal marriage rights, the couple have been persuaded by their family to change their minds. “I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,” Brad previously stated to Esquire. After a generous pledge of $100,000 to the Human Rights campaign, Brad gave the charity's campaign for equal marriage rights in American states Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington a real boost. However, the actor has now revealed that the couple are growing very impatient. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad revealed: "We'd actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out."
Although Angelina doesn't yet have a ring on her finger, the family's close bond is indisputable. The brood recently relocated to a Surrey mansion, where Brad has been a hands-on dad to Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, Pax, Knox and Vivienne- He has also reportedly asked celebrity chef Jamie Oliver for some cookery lessons. Ensuring that they never film at the same time as one another, Brad first shot zombie flick World War Z in Dorset, and has since passed on the acting baton to his fiancée, who is filming Maleficent, a movie recording the tale of Sleeping Beauty’s arch nemesis. Daughter Vivienne has also caught the acting bug off her mother, and is set to play a young Princess Aurora in the feature. Brad, who was previously married to rom-com actress Jennifer Aniston, met Angelina on the set of their film Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005. Twice-married Angelina soon fell for the charms of her co-star, who she described as “the love of my life” to Marie Claire. “Brad has expanded my life in ways I never imagined. We built a family. He is not just the love my life, he is my family. I hold that very dear. I suppose what I’ve learned from Brad is to be able to have the kind of family whose happiness and well-being comes before your own. I’m very very grateful to have such a loving family, and I wouldn’t have that without him.”
