They've been in the Australian jungle for 21 days and now soap star Charlie Brooks and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts are the the last contestants left in this series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Three became two on Friday night when heaveyweight boxer David Haye was voted off by the public.
The trio spent their last night together enjoying an indulgent treat including a hot-tub, champagne and strawberries. Whilst enjoying their well-earned luxuries the final three toasted themselves for coming so far in the contest before turning their attention to life after the Outback. London-born David said he had hopes to kick-start an acting career, telling the girls it was his "ultimate goal". "I'd like to be known as an actor who used to do boxing" David added after revealing he only has a "maximum" of two professional fights left in him
On hearing the news of his eviction, David congratulated the two female finalists with a kiss and hug saying: "I told you! Girl power. Good luck girls." Now singer Ashley and EastEnders actress Charlie will await the public vote on Saturday to find out who will be crowned 'Queen of the Jungle' in the final episode of the twelfth series.
Chatting to presenters Ant and Dec afterwards his exit, the boxer - known as the Bermondsey bruiser - refused to say who he wanted to see take the title. "I want them both to win," he said. "I want it to be either of them. In my eyes they are both winners. "Speaking frankly to the Geordie presenters about his experience David said "physically I am okay with things, doing trials and stuff. That is okay. It was just being out of your comfort zone, having cameras on you the whole time. Being around people I didn't know. It was the lack of food, feeling hungry constantly. You feel yourself getting smaller and smaller, skinnier and skinnier. But that is part of the game and part of the show. I knew what I was getting in for when I signed up."
Whilst the British sportsman is known for his fighting spirit he revealed that life in the camp had been challenging, saying "It was a lot more mentally tough than I thought. "The experience has not been plain saling for Charlie or Ashely either. On Wednesday 31-year-old Charlie fell victim to one of the shows most harrowing tasks to date. Taking part in a new challenge named Door To Door, the EastEnder was asked to select one of the four coloured doors in front of her and told that if she selected the right one, she would receive a mystery surprise. Behind one of the doors was Charlie's daughter Kiki, but her mum selected the blue rather than the yellow door which she had hidden behind, the eight-year-old was dissappointed.
It was only when Charlie arrived back at the camp that the other contestants informed her of the missed surprise. Naturally, the mother-of-one was distraught. "This is heartbreaking. Yellow is my favourite colour and she would have been thinking 'mummy will pick yellow'."
