December 12, 2012

Although he is known for his wild ways, Charlie Sheen has been showing his caring side by donating $75,000 to a ten-year-old girl suffering from cancer. The news was reported by the Hermosilla Beach Police Officer Association's Facebook page together with a picture of the father-of-five’s cheque:"All proceeds go to the Faulk family to support their daughter (Jasmine Faulk). On behalf of the HBPOA, the family and those who support children fighting cancer, we thank you for your generous donation."

The gift came a day after the actor talked with a Hermosa Beach officer about the girl's situation and said: "No parent should have to watch their kid go through that".Together with his stunt double they have given a total of $100,000 in support of the little girl, Jasmine, who is fighting a rare form pediatric cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Jasmine even has a blog where the family keeps track of her progress. Only this year he has donated $250,000 along with one percent of his Anger Management salary to the United Service Organizations, as well as another $250,000 (from his earnings from the latest Scary Movie film) to other charities.

It is not just charities he is helping, just recently it was published that he had given his Scary Movie co-star Lindsay Lohan $100,000 in order to help her with her tax problems with the IRS. He later claimed that the actress has never thanked him for his generosity. "I’m still waiting for a text to say thank you," he said. The troubled actors – both have been plagued by drug abuse and jail sentences– became close in September, filming the fifth installment of the comedy - horror film.A few weeks ago he also reached out to former Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones after a video surfaced where the young actor spoke out about his Christian faith and branded the show he is starring in as filth:"I can be a Christian and be on a show like Two and a Half Men. You can't. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't."

Charlie, who was fired from Two and a Half Men in 2011 after eight years, has also branded the show as "cursed": "Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday".Going on to speak out against produced Chuck Lorre he said: "I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami. "News have surfaced that his ex-wife Brooke Mueller has recently entered rehab for the 19th time to battle an addition to prescription medication, surprisingly asking Charlie's second ex-wife, Denise Richards, to take care of their twins Max and Bob while she took time out to get help. Charlie Sheen's comedy, Anger Management, has been recently picked up for a 90 episodes and will start airing in 2013.
