Exclusive: Harry Judd and Izzy Johnston waltz up the aisle

When Strictly Come Dancing champion Harry Judd married former Escala violinist Izzy Johnston, the newlyweds pulled off a spectacular first dance, including lifts and spins that had been choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing professional Ian Waite. The couple had put in nine hours of practice with Ian, plus a further two hours by themselves before performing a routine to Michael Buble’s Can’t Help Falling in Love.

"The night before the wedding I didn't sleep because I was going through the steps in my head," Izzy told HELLO! magazine.As a surprise, Harry had arranged for the Strictly Come Dancing announcer to record a special greeting for the couple. The BBC1’s show soundtrack played, before the announcer said: "Live from St Michael's Manor, performing an American Smooth, Izzy Judd and her dance partner, Harry Judd."They then performed their routine to huge cheers and applause from their guests, which included Robbie Savage and his wife Sarah, Kara and Hannah Tointon and Matt and Emma Willis.The couple married at St Nicholas' Church, Harpenden and had their wedding reception at St Michael's.Harry also performed four tracks with his McFly bandmates, who were among 11 ushers.

Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Dougie Poyntor also performed during the service. They played an acoustic version of the Beach Boys Don’t Worry Baby, accompanied by a string quartet, piano and choir. They chose this song because Harry had played it on his iPad when he proposed to Izzy last year.Their were nods to Harry's Strictly experience throughout the day, including a glitterball trophy on top of their wedding cake.The wedding beats any his Strictly victory.
