In a few short months, Monegasque royal Charlotte Casiraghi will become an aunt when her brother Andrea and his fiancée Tatiana Santo Domingo welcome their first child. Now, news will also be reaching Charlotte that her ex-boyfriend, gallery owner Alex Delall, looks set to start a family with his model girlfriend Elisa Sednaoui.
Guests at a private dinner celebrating Tom Ford's latest runway show couldn't help but have noticed that Elisa was showing off a sizeable baby bump, seemingly confirming that she and Alex have some happy news. Since splitting with 26-year-old Charlotte in 2011, Alex has gone on to find love with his striking brunette. Meanwhile, Princess Caroline's daughter is herself exploring new ground with charismatic French actor, Gad Elmaleh. The 41-year-old, who hails from Morocco, had parts in the films Tintin, Midnight in Paris and, most recently, The Capital. Ms Casiraghi is a hard act to follow, but Elisa, 25, did exactly that with a measure of grace and is now poised to become a mother with Alex, who is the son of millionaire property owner Guy Dellal, by her side.
The stunning brunette has been hailed as 'fashion's new It Girl' and has recently shot campaigns for Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli. Italian fashion maestro Roberto said of his muse: "Elisa is self-confident and she has an amazing personality. "She has got this animal side, she is enthusiastic, really sexy with a stunning body and hypnotic eyes. She is the woman every woman would like to be, so she is the real Cavalli woman." Vogue loves her because she's "a free soul: well-read, sensitive, cosmopolitan. With a penchant for Louboutins" – and for good reason – Christian Louboutin, the shoe king, is her godfather.
As an in-demand model, Elisa is currently based in London, but was raised in Egypt by her Italian mother and French-Egyptian father. She moved to France after her parents divorced when she was seven, and claims to have been speaking seven languages by then. The multi-talented beauty is also an actress and film-maker, having appeared in a couple of French films and directed a documentary on Egypt. Now, motherhood looks set to be her next big challenge.
