If Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams and Sienna Miller were feeling any pre Golden Globe nerves on Friday they certainly didn't show it. The three ladies, who are all nominated for awards, all looked glamorous at an event hosted by W Magazine and Dom Perignon Champagne.Jennifer, who is nominated in the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical category for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, chose a cornflower blue dress for the occasion and wore her honey-coloured hair in a ponytail. Amy chose a similarly bold coloured dress. The Italian-born actress, who is up for the title of best Supporting Actress In A Film having starred in The Master, teamed a deep green with gold strappy heels.
Sienna, who became a mum for the first time back in July after the birth of her daughter Marlow, looked sensational in a red and black number and scarlet shoes. Thanks to her role in The Girl, alongside Toby Jones and Imelda Staunton, Sienna could take home the title of Best Actress in a TV show at the ceremony which takes place on Sunday evening.Thirty-one-year-old Sienna, whose parter is actor Tom Sturridge, was seen chatting to fellow Brit and rising star Eddie Redmayne. Eddie starred alongside Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfriend in recent Hollywood blockbuster Les Miserables which is nominated for a host of awards, including Best Film.
Both glittering in gold were Victoria's Secret angel Miranda Kerr and The Ballad of Jack and Rose actress Camilla Belle whilst Kirsten Dunst and Minnie Driver chose outfits from a darker palette. Standing out from the crowd in a bright orange dress was Simon Cowell's latest love interest Carmen Electra. Carmen, who has starred in films such as Scary Movie and Get Over It, has been dating Simon since late last year and he has since described the 40-year-old as "adorable".Also among the glittering array of A-list guests were fellow nominees Jack Black and Bradley Cooper. Whilst the two are both up for the same gong, Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Film, there was no tension between the two as they chatted to their fellow party-goers.
Leading the United Kingdom's hopes for Golden Globe glory are two of the country's finest actors – Daniel Day-Lewis and Dame Helen Mirren. Daniel is in the running thanks to his stint in American Civil War biopic, Lincoln whilst Dame Helen Mirren may also add another cross to her Golden Globe bow after playing Alfred Hitchcock's strong-willed wife in Hitchcock. Having been put forward for the role, she now lays the foundation for her fourth Golden Globe, which she last snared in 2007 for her work on The Queen. The party comes soon after a host of Hollywood's most famous faces were announced as presenters for the awards 70th edition. George Clooney and Jason Statham's chiseled features standing out from the crowd. If any bruised egos from Ricky Gervais' ruthlessly funny reign still linger, then gentleman George Clooney will be like a soothing balm on the night. The fact that the ceremony will this year be held together by comediennes Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will also reduce the casualties. The comedy duo have previously worked together in box office sensation Mean Girls as well as on hit American show Saturday Night Live.
