Jessica Biel and Naomi Watts shine at the Sundance Film Festival

The ground may have been thick with snow but the Sundance Film Festival was certainly enjoying the heat of some of Hollywood's hottest stars. The festival, which takes place in Utah, has been welcoming such stars as Jessica Biel, Naomi Watts and Daniel Radcliffe since it started on Thursday.

Against the backdrop of the mountainous and snowy scenery, Naomi arrived to showcase her latest flick Two Mothers, whilst Jessica did the same for movie Emanuel and The Truth About Fishes. Both ladies chose casual outfits as they stepped out to promote their latest acting ventures.

Naomi wrapped up in a woollen grey cardigan and swapped sky-high-heels for some trendy white high-top trainers. Jessica, who married singer Justin Timberlake in October 2012, wore a warm beige jumper with black trousers and knee-high black boots. But the 30-year-old still managed to look every inch the glamorous screen star thanks to her shimmering golden locks and flawless makeup.Former Beatle Ringo Starr also hopped across the pond for the festival. The Liverpool-born hit-maker was showing support for his step daughter and director Francesca Gregorini. Italian-American Francesca is the daughter of former Bond girl Barbara Bach, to whom Ringo has been married for 31 years after the pair met filming 1981 comedy Caveman.Francesca wrote and directed Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, in which Jessica stars. The film is about a young woman called Emanuel, played by Kaya Scodelario, who becomes interested in her new neighbour thinking she bears resemblance to her dead mother.

Daniel Radcliffe

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe journeyed stateside for Kill Your Darlings, his new film set in 1944 and based on the true story of a murder involving poets Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsburg whom he plays.Texan actor Matthew McConaughey was also in town for drama Mud's debut. Telling the story of two teenage boys who work to reunite a fugitive with his love, Mud also stars Reese Witherspoon and rising star Tye Sheridan.Also set to premier their latest blockbuster is Ashton Kutcher, whose long anticipated movie Jobs will show the world how the actor went about immortalising one of the 21st century's great visionaries, Steve Jobs.

 The biopic of Apple's legendary founder is set to be the jewel in the crown when it launches on the festival's closing night. But before then stars such as Les Miserables' Amanda Seyfried and James Franco will grace the event with their film Lovelace; another biopic this time based on renowned feminist Gloria Steinem. Ashton's estranged wife Demi was originally lined up to play the role, but withdrew during the tumultuous few months which followed their separation.Now in its 27th year, the annual festival allows artists to promote independently made films and aims to attract members of the movie industry to the western state of Utah.Founded by actor and director Robert Redford in 1978, with the proceeds from his films Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Downhill Racer, the event is now one of the biggest of its kind. This year 119 feature films will be premiered from 51 first-time filmmakers representing 32 countries.
