Hollywood siren Halle Berry chose British designer Vivienne Westwood to ensure her latest red carpet appearance was a stylish one. In a black and silver strapless column dress Halle looked effortlessly elegant at the NAACP Image Awards.Halle, 46, proved that less is more in the jewel department, allowing her pink Kabana earrings and multiple Le Vian rings to add sparkle to her outfit.

The X-Men actress was at the LA awards having been nominated for the title of Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Cloud Atlas. Despite losing out to Wont Back Down star Viola Davis the award nod was still a milestone for Halle, marking her seventh nomination at the annual ceremony.Viola continued her NAACP Image Award success as taking the title meant she has now turned both her nominations from the awarding body into wins. As the 47-year-old star was unable to receive her award in person focus turned to who would collect it on her behalf.

Having announced the anticipated result, Pulp Fiction actor Samuel L. Jackson then called on nine-year-old actress Quvenzhane Wallis to take the stage as Viola's representative. The young actress, who was also nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture thanks to her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild, rose to the challenge perfectly and sparkled in a pink sequined dress. Also leading the way in the style stakes were Keke Palmer, Freida Pinto and Lincoln actress Gloria Reuben.
