Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian rest up in Rio

February 12, 2013

Entranced by the vibrant outfits, bright sun and samba music, stars flocked to see the delights of Rio Carnival on Saturday. Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian heralded the celebrations in the Brazilian city, enjoying the vivid festival display in headdresses and sunglasses as they cheered on the samba dancers. Joined by beau Kanye West, reality star Kim told the Twittersphere that she would be watching the celebrations with her Grammy-winning partner. Rapper Kanye scooped three awards at the music ceremony, taking home prizes for the best Rap Song, Rap Performance and Rap Collaboration.

"Aww just waking up in Brazil, seeing Kanye won 3 Grammy's last night!!!" said the 32-year-old. "That makes a total of 21!!!! That's just so insane! Soooo proud!!!" Meeting up with pal Will Smith, who stood on the balcony above the couple, five-months-pregnant Kim recorded her and her friend warming up the crowd,  and posted their partying on new video website Keek.

Meanwhile, Transformers star Megan and her husband Brian Austin Green watched the event from a VIP area in the sambadrome- an indoor area specifically built for the event.

Catching up on some quality time with her husband, the couple partied in Brahma's booth, wearing clothes from the Brazilian beer company. Spending time apart from their newborn baby boy Noah, it seems that the pair are taking some time to relax away from the stresses of parenthood. Speaking to Access Hollywood, the pair recently admitted that the pair take day and night shifts to look after their son, who was born in December. "He's always done the middle of the night feeding for me to let me rest and recover. He's a really good husband!" said Megan. Brian added, "She did nine, 10 months of work, so I figure I can get up - I can get out of bed." The party was completed, however, with a surprising guest. Prince Albert of Monaco also attended the festivities in casual attire, wearing sunglasses and Brazilian t-shirt from the Portela samba school as he partied in the sambadrome.

The carnival, which boasts a 290-year history, is considered to be the biggest parade in the world. More than 2 million people attend the festival, which takes place the week before Lent.
