Beyonce must be the hardest working woman in show business. The year has barely begun, and Queen B already twice made history, singing at President Obama's inauguration and at the Super Bowl, not to mention the announcement of her world tour. On Tuesday she stepped back into the spotlight as she attended the premiere of her HBO documentary Life Is But A Dream.

The 31-year-old looked spectacular in a daring sheer floor length Elie Saab gown as she arrived out for the screening in New York. Wearing minimal make-up, Beyonce let her natural beauty shine through as she made her entrance. Joined by her husband Jay-Z at the after-party, she brought along another strong female role-model as her premiere plus-one - Oprah Winfrey. The iconic chat-show host looked delighted to be sharing in Beyonce's special moment, proudly posing next to her friend.Other guests at the screening included Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles and her sister Solange. Actress Angela Bassett and comedian Chris Rock were also there.Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are a notoriously private couple, so it came as a surprise to many when the songstress decided to make her revealing documentary. The autobiographical film takes a no-holds-barred look at the singer's life, featuring home videos and candid clips of Beyonce discussing personal matters like her miscarriage, reports of her faking her pregnancy and her decision to fire her father as her manager.

"I felt that after 16 years of being a public singer, people didn't know who I was," the star has said of her decision to make the documentary. "This movie has really been my therapy. I've healed from so many wounds and I've been able to understand why some of the things I've been through, why I went through, so feel really proud, and hopefully I can inspire other people. "One of those people she hopes to inspire in the future is her own daughter Blue Ivy. "I hope that she will see all of the beautiful times (and) all the tough times that led up to her being here," she said at the premiere. "I'm hoping that…it can comfort her and inspire her. "Beyonce, who shares a sonogram taken while she was pregnant on the documentary, recently spoke to Vogue about her bond with Blue Ivy, born in January 2012."I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door," she said. "And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn't think about my own pain. We are talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."

She also revealed her desire to give the little girl a chance at a normal childhood. "At some point it's very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life an run through sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and so all the things that any child should be able to do.""School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It's very important to me. "A normal childhood isn't the only thing Beyonce and Jay-Z want for their little girl. One day that hope to make her a big sister. "When I was younger, there were moments when I said, 'I'm not going to have children'," she said. "And then there were moments when I wanted four. And now I definitely want another, but I don't know when."
