Hugh Grant has announced he has become a father again. The British actor said he is "thrilled" about the new arrival, whose mother is reportedly Chinese actress Tinglan Hong, with whom he has daughter Tabitha. Hugh took to twitter to tell fans of his happy news saying, "In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum."
The Love Actually star, 52, became a father for the first time in September 2011, after what he described as a "fleeting affair" with Tinglan.
In March of the following year, Hugh chose to open up about becoming a father for the first time. In a rare interview to The Guardian newspaper he discussed the excitement of having a daughter and revealed the baby's name to be Tabitha. He told the newspaper that he was finding it exciting getting to know his baby, though he was told not to expect much at first. "Lots of people warned me about that; they said never let anyone know, but the baby period is not that exciting. "But I am excited, actually. I thought, well, I'll bluff through – but very little bluffing has been required."
Hugh chose his daughter's English name, Tabitha, whilst Tinglan chose a Chinese name, Xiao Xi, which means "happy surprise. "He added: "I like my daughter very much. Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am. And I feel a better person."
Hugh also spoke of the pride he feels when holding his little girl. "Yesterday I took my daughter to see my father, who's in hospital, and all the nurses were cooing over her. And I felt, well, pride." His experience with Tabitha will stand him in good stead when looking after his newborn son.
