Tulisa Contostavlos is set to leave the X Factor judging panel, according to reports. The 24-year-old, who found fame with urban trio N-Dubz, may be leaving leave the hot seat on the talent show behind. Although the songstress is in the firing line, it seems that the show is to undergo a complete overhaul after figures dropped to a dramatic low last year.
Winner of last year's show James Arthur may have soared to the top of the charts with number one single Impossible, but show ratings sank to an all-time low, with just 9.3 million people tuning in to watch the competition's final, the lowest since 2005. Thanks to James's success, Nicole Scherzinger can breathe a sigh of relief as she will be saved from the axe. The plucky Hawaiian and mentor to James went down a storm on the programme. Irish manager Louis Walsh is also expected to keep his position on the panel, and is the only judge to remain from the show's original line-up.
Known as Mr Nasty to his UK audience, Simon Cowell has taken his silver-tongued judging style over to the States. The music mogul has already committed to judging the US X Factor, although the rest of the panel is yet to be announced. Despite his jam-packed schedule, Simon has taken on a judging role for every series of Britain's Got Talent, alongside David Walliams and Amanda Holden. The American version of the popular competition has been at the helm of Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne in recent years. As Sharon waved goodbye to the role on last year's series, former Spice Girl Melanie Brown is to take over the coveted judging spot. As well as taking a starring role in the X Factor, Tulisa has kept herself busy with other glamorous roles. The star recently launched a clothing line with Bank, as well as releasing her debut solo album, The Female Boss.
