Cheryl Cole revealed a striking new tattoo, featuring a design of two red roses, when she performed in front of her home crowd in Newcastle with Girls Aloud on Thursday night. Cheryl, 29, reunited with Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding to kickstart the band's Ten tour, which celebrates their ten years in the industry.
The Fight for This Love singer showed off the huge tattoo in a series of revealing outfits, including a cropped top and backless dress. The band were emotional as they closed the show and Cheryl later tweeted: "I wish I could find the words to express how I feel right now!! Newcastle was perfect! Thank you #proudgeordie #tentour"Cheryl already has a growing collection of tattoos, including a tribal design on her hand, a barbed wire design on her leg and the words 'Mrs C' on the back of her neck.
The roses appear to have been inked on top of a previous butterfly tattoo on her lower back. Cheryl has previously spoken of her desire to have her entire back covered with body art. "Tattoos are addictive, they really are," she said. "If it was up to me – and I could be brave for one day, I would have my whole back done. "My friends say 'Cheryl, please, you might regret it' - but to me, it's art." Cheryl is one of numerous celebrity tattoo addicts, including David Beckham, Rihanna, One Direction's Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. Victoria Beckham has more subtle inkings, including a tattoo of her husband's initials on her wrist and three stars on her back to represent sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
