Scroll down for videoStars including Abbey Clancy, Tina O’Brien, Kate Garraway and Claire Richards flocked to the official launch of the latest Disney Princess show last week. The stars brought some pint-sized fans of Sofia The First – Disney’s first ever little girl princess - to London's Mayfair hotel for the event, which included a screening of the new series to hit the Disney Channel. Originally shown as a stand alone film last December, the show was the highest rated ever on the channel, attracting 670,000 viewers to the premiere.
Clearly, there were some celebrity fans among the viewers at home. Abbey Clancy brought along her two-year-old daughter Sophia, while Claire Richards came with her two children Daisy and Charlie. Other stars who attended included Radio One DJ Scott Mills, England cricket star Michael Vaughan and Danielle O’Hara. Abbey said: "I have brought along my own little princess today. It's lovely for her to have a chance to dress up - it's really good. My little girl has been a Princess since the day she was born, I always called her Princess Sophia anyway. I love it!" Claire added that her daughter Daisy was incredibly excited about the prospect of the party.
"She has been asking me about whether we can go to the party for two weeks now! It's lovely for them to come to something like this." Inside the party, guests were treated to a workshop on how to behave like a princess – including lessons on how to bow and curtsy properly – face painting, temporary tattoos and balloons art. Guests were then treated to special new episodes of Sofia the First, as well as a screening of another new Disney Junior show, Henry Hugglemonster.
The show will premiere on March 8.
