New mum Shakira is back in shape just five weeks after giving birth to her first child. The singer left son Milan at home with his footballer father Gerard Pique while she attended a glamorous gallery opening in Barcelona, Spain, displaying her lithe frame.
Inside the exhibition, Shakira peeled off her fur gilet to reveal a form-fitting sequined black jacket which showed off her waspish waist. Skinny jeans and killer heels completed the look. She was out to support visual artist Jaume de Laiguana – the man who captured monochrome images of the star while heavily pregnant and directed the video for her 2005 single, No. The pair were seen touring the exhibition, and Shakira lingered over a section dedicated to her, paying special attention to the maternal images that had been captured just weeks before she gave birth. Shakira, who is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and FC Barcelona star Gerard welcomed their son Milan on 22 January. Two weeks after giving birth, the Colombian star posted a photo of him and his dad on UNICEF’s website. As well as sharing their intimate moments with the charity, the couple have compiled a baby shower list inviting fans to purchase a gift for a child suffering in the developing world.
Shakira made her first public outing as a mother when she and her family watched Barcelona play at their Nou Camp stadium. Cuddling her 20-day-old son, the Columbian singer witnessed Gerard score during the final minute of the match. "His first official time going out, and he watches his daddy score in Camp Nou!" said Shakira, who posted a picture of her and her newborn enjoying the match on Twitter.
