They're going to be seeing a lot of each other in the coming months, so David Beckham has been getting to know his legions of fans in France a bit better. The football star and his former Real Madrid team mate Zinedine Zidane attended a meet-and-greet session held in Paris's flagship Adidas store.
He charmed fans – young and old – who had come along to meet Paris St. Germain's latest superstar signing. David, who was kitted out in bright yellow Adidas trainers, performed some keepy-uppie tricks and posed for pictures with 30 fans who has been selected via Twitter. The father-of-four showed his easy way with the youngsters in the crowd, and was especially attentive as he placed his hand on the head of one boy who seemed overwhelmed to be meeting him. It's possible he was missing his own children, who have returned to their London base after a visit with their mother Victoria. Outside, security had to contain the throngs of people who were waiting, cameras ready, to catch a glimpse of David as he made his way in and out of the store.
David has made an impression both on and off the pitch in his new city; his meet-and-greet came the day after his successful debut for Paris St.
Germain. He helped his new team secure a 2-0 win over Marseille in the Coupe de France.
