Justin Bieber has apologised for disappointing British fans who missed out on his concert after he appeared on stage two hours late.

Making amends for the late start of his London 02 Arena gig, the singing sensation apologised on Twitter for his late arrival. "Last night I was scheduled after 3 opening acts to go on stage at 935 not 830 but because of some technical issues I got on at 10:10," he wrote. "There is no excuse and I apologise for anyone we upset. However it was great show and I'm proud of that." "I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I'm not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset," added the singer. The singer's sell-out show at London's O2 arena was full of young 'Beliebers' whose bedtime came and went before their idol got round to his performance, which finally began at 10.35 to a chorus of booing.

Parents took to Twitter en masse to express their frustration, with their moods ranging from "disappointed" to "livid". "It's disgraceful, so many children were distressed and left heartbroken they had to leave the show. Many had been looking forward to seeing Justin for weeks," one fan told the Mail Online. On the night, the official account for the O2 arena responded to the slew of complaints mounting on Twitter, saying: "Justin Bieber is now on stage and apologises for the lateness of his show."

Fans who remained after the shaky start were treated to a show by the Canadian singer pop singer, who celebrated his 19th birthday last Friday. His set began with an angelic theme as he descended onto the stage suspended from huge wings. Despite his late entry, Justin had seemed thrilled to be in London and had been tweeting constantly in the build-up to his concert. He told fans: "I hear u all out there", and lated added: "In a good mood. Got my friends and team with me here and ready for Day 1 at the O2. London get ready!"
