Ricky Martin shows off his stylish twins Matteo and Valentino

March 5, 2013

Ricky Martin has said goodbye to Los Angeles and flown into Australia in anticipation of his The Voice Australia judging slot. Taking his adorable children Matteo and Valentino with him on the long haul flight, the doting father had stacks and fun and games at the ready to entertain the twins.

"Australia here we go!" said Ricky. "#longhaulflight," he added, taking note of the toys and children's gear that surrounded him. The four year olds looked the spitting image of their Puerto Rican father. Holding their father's hands as they glided through the airport with their all white clad dad, the cuties looked thrilled to be entering the country. Livin' La Vida Loca singer Ricky is due back on set for the next round of the competition, which will see contestants enter the battle stages of the show on Saturday and Monday. Judging alongside Seal, Delta Goodrem and Good Charlotte star and husband of Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, the star will preen his contestants with the help of a star-studded team of professionals, including The Sapphires actress Jessica Mauboy. Ricky is the latest to star to fly his children out in the parent brigade. Singer Seal brought his clan Down Under for the first season of the show, while Joel has brought children Harlow and Sparrow along for company.

Although he originally planned to fly his children out for April's filming sessions, it seems that proud padre Ricky couldn’t bear to be apart from his boys.Partner Carlos González Abella, however, has stayed at home for the season so far. Speaking about fatherhood, Ricky revealed in his best-selling autobiography Me that he is a changed man thanks to his little ones. "Matteo and Valentino are my little angels, my sons, and because of them I know I'm capable of doing anything," the star wrote. The twins were born by a surrogate mother to Ricky in 2008.
