The Branson clan have joined together to celebrate matriarch Eve Branson's book launch. Returning from the family's latest celebrations in South Africa, where Richard's son Sam wed his long-term love Isabella Calthorpe, the family looked thrilled to take part in a celebration of the beloved octogenarian's life achievements. Joined by the Virgin mogul, Holly and Vanessa Branson, the 89-year-old head of the family has penned her memoirs in a tome entitled Mum's The Word, which recounts her life's adventures, including her West End dancing career and her war service as a signaller.

It seems Richard's career may have been inspired by his travel-savvy mum, who enjoyed a successful career as an air hostess for British South American airways. "I really started writing while following Richard around with his balloon. It kept my mind off the dangers he was in." Eve said of the memoir's inspiration. "And now I've turned it into a book that I hope will give people a lot of pleasure." The book, released on Mothering Sunday, includes a forward from Sir Richard which describes Eve as 'an extraordinary, inspirational woman who has always led a full-on life'.

As well as Sam and Isabella missing the event for some honeymoon bliss, Ned Rocknroll and his wife Kate Winslet were also missing from the fold. Known as Eve's hero, plucky Kate rescued Eve from a house fire from Richard’s exclusive hideout in Necker Island in 2011. Inspired by the event, Eve also has plans to put pen to paper to reflect on the nightmare event.
