Shakira and her baby boy Milan made an A-list appearance at the Nou Camp on Tuesday. The singer took her son to FC Barcelona's stadium to cheer on his daddy Gerard Pique in his big Champions League game against AC Milan. It seems that the youngster's good luck charms worked, as the team left the ground with a victorious 4-0 win which saw them enter to tournament's quarter finals. Greeting his family after the match, Gerard cuddled up to his loved ones as he celebrated his victory. Dressed in a tiny FC Barcelona strip, tiny youngster Milan looked adorable in the latest family snap.
"After the match when the stadium emptied, I enjoyed the team's victory with family," the caption to the Twitter image read. Just a few weeks old, Milan is already expressing his sporty side. Following the birth of baby Milan, Shakira said in a statement: "Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth." The baby's public photo debut saw him dressed in customised Nike trainers, emblazoned with his moniker.
He also made his first appearance in the Barcelona football team's stadium when he was less than a month old. Baby Milan made his way into the world on 22 January 2013. Releasing an official statement, Shakira and Gerard said: "We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain." "The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification..."
"The hospital confirmed that the couple's first child weighed approximately 6lbs. 6 ounces, and that both mother and child are in excellent health." The couple will now have a fair few snaps to add to their family album. Milan was in the public eye when he was just a bump, as his mother and father posed for some intimate portraits on behalf of children’s charity UNICEF.
