You have to see how things play out, the source said.Another source added: "She's leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work."

The Firework singer, 28, has been busy recording her third studio album while John is preparing for his tour which begins in New York next month and wraps up in Brasil later this year.

The couple's last public outing was at the Grammy awards in February. The pair looked happy and relaxed during the event and were very affectionate with one another. John, 35, who has dated Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift in the past, recently spoke candidlly about his very 'human' romance with Katy. "I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship," he recently explained on Sunday Morning. "I don't feel it for the first time in my life. "I'm not even in a high-profile relationship... I know it's high-profile, but it's hard to explain. It doesn't feel that way to me, and it's great and I'm glad. "I'm saying for me, it feels like it's something very human."
