Kim Kardashian is one of five daughters whose name begins with a K. And even though her rapper boyfriend Kanye West, 35, also shares the same first letter in his name, the pair are considering parting from tradition and giving their first-born a name that begins with a different letter. When asked whether they would be keeping with a customary K name she said, "I think it would be really cute because Kanye and I are both Ks." "But half the names on our list aren't Ks… we still have time, whatever feels right," she said. "Kanye being the father wants something that's unique."
Rumours swirled around the Internet last week that they would be naming their baby North. And while Kim, 32, hasn't denied that moniker, given Kanye's surname, it seems likely that it might have been a joke to keep fans guessing. On an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2011, Kim admitted she was calling dibs on her favourite K names. Her younger sister Khloe quipped, "Kim is the only crazy person that would actually like, reserve." Another moniker that has been mooted for Kim and Kanye's new arrival is Donda. "If Kanye has a daughter, he wants to name her Donda, after his mother," a source said. "He’s been saying that for years, and he will really try to get Kim to do that."
Kim's elder sister Kourtney Kardashian and her partner Scott Disick ditched the family custom and named her children Penelope Scotland and Mason Dash. After a pregnancy scare in early March, fashion designer Kim has said that she's easing up on her work commitments ahead of her July due date. "I kind of split up my days. I'll do half a day of work and then I'll do half day of really just resting and taking care of myself," she said. "But I haven't been tired at all." Kim has posted photos of herself on Twitter enjoying acupuncture and going for a girly dinner with actress friend LaLa.
