Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are expecting their first child together, a baby boy. Halle, 46, already has a five-year-old daughter Nahla from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
The couple, who were engaged in January 2012, are excitedly looking forward to the birth of their baby in October. This will be the first child for French actor Olivier, who previously dated Kylie Minogue.
X-Men star Halle had an “amazing” pregnancy with Nahla. "I was happy that whole time," she has said. She and Olivier plan to move to Paris when Nahla reaches the age of 18. They had wanted to move to Olivier's home country sooner, but a US judge ruled against this, as it would prevent Gabriel from having regular access to his daughter.
"When Nahla turns 18, she’ll be legally able to make her own decisions about where she wants to be and I think that then, when she’s off on her own, we'll move there," Halle once told HELLO!. "It's where I want to end my days, that's for sure."
Halle and Olivier have experienced strains in their relationship with Gabriel – in November 2012, Gabriel was spotted sporting a black eye after a brawl with Olivier. Halle’s lawyer Blair Berk later confirmed that the trio had settled their differences and reached an "amicable agreement".
Halle has been married twice, to former baseball player David Justice and then to singer-songwriter Eric Benét. In 2004, she told Oprah Winfrey, "I will never marry again. I mean it with every bone in my body."
Charming Olivier, however, has made her change her mind and she proudly wears a four-carat emerald engagement ring.
