Adele has been named the UK's richest young musician. The singer's mammoth success, which includes nine Grammys, four BRITs and an Oscar, has lead to her staggering £30million fortune and the top spot in the The Sunday Times Young Musician Rich List.Since breaking on to the music scene in 2008 with her debute album 19, Adele's career has gone from strength to strength and despite taking a break from music for throat surgery and to give birth to son Angelo, Adele has already increased her wealth by £10million in the past year.
Sitting a cool £16million above Cheyl Cole, who came in at second position, Adele, 24, also led the female-dominated list that also features Leona Lewis, Katie Melua and Florence Welch. Flying the flag for the boys were One Direction, whose combined £25million fortune has placed them in the list for the first time.
Niall Horan, Harry Style, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson all sit in 17th position with £5million each.
Other new additions to the list include Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sande, whose fame soared when she performed Read All About It at the Olympic Closing Ceremony.
