Singer Christina Aguilera channelled classic chic as she attended a gala for Time magazine on Tuesday. The publication has just named the 100 most influential people in the world, and although Christina was included for her "unbelievable voice", it was her style doing the talking at the launch party.
Christina oozed glamour in a simple black gown with cut out detail. The singer teamed the outfit with dazzling diamonds which glittered around her neck and wrist.
Time's list of the top 100 influential people in the world includes pioneers from a range of fields. Christina is in good company, being name checked alongside Kate Middleton, Beyonce and first lady Michelle Obama. The bumper issue features a glowing review of each entrant written by another high-profile figure. Fellow singer Celine Dion was full of praise for Christina, describing her as "beautiful" and saying her vocals were "flawless". "Without a doubt, she's one of the most talented artists the world has ever seen and heard, and I think she's going to continue to amaze us for many, many years to come," she added.
The Beautiful singer was joined by many other entrants at Time's star-studded launch party. She and Girls creator Lena Dunham looked delighted to see one another as they embraced on the red carpet. Homeland star Claire Danes – who has scooped a slew of awards for her turn as CIA agent Carrie Mathison – was stunning in an airy animal print dress (above right). TV personality Padma Lakshmi (above left), who was previously married to author Salman Rushdie, also put in a glamorous showing with an eye-catching monochrome maxi dress.
