Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about turning 40. The Iron Man 3 actress admitted she "freaked out" before marking the milestone birthday in September last year. "When I was 39 I was freaking out about it," Gwyneth revealed. "But when I woke up on my birthday I was like, 'Oh this is fine, yeah I like this.'""I felt empowered by everything that I'd achieved," the Oscar-winner continued. "I have two healthy children."
Gwyneth certainly has plenty to be proud of. The striking blonde has daughter Apple, 8, and son Moses, 7, with husband Chris Martin, and was named the 'Most Beautiful Woman' of 2013 by People Magazine last week. Recently the star of Sliding Doors has been travelling the world to promote her new healthy eating cookbook, It's All Good.
"You know, I really like the balance I have now," said Gwyneth. "Finding one really interesting film a year to do around the family schedule and my business life.""I don't think I'd ever want to give up acting to only do business," added
Gwyneth, who also runs her own lifestyle website, Goop, "but I'm very stimulated by my website.""I'm really happy at home, so I've got to find things where I'm really going to learn something or push myself to the edge of my capabilities."
Gwyneth and Coldplay frontman Chris, 36, will celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary in December. The star recently revealed that false rumours that the pair were dating actually led to them meeting backstage at a concert and form one of Hollywood's happiest marriages.
Chris was by his wife's side on her 40th birthday as the two celebrated in Portofino, Italy.
