90210 actress Shenae Grimes broke with tradition for her wedding to British model Josh Beech. The Canadian star chose a striking black Vera Wang dress, complete with a lace bodice and full skirt, for her big day, following a trend of brides moving away from the conventional white wedding gown.
"I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh! Xx @iamjoshbeech" tweeted the happy newlywed, with a photo of her outfit, to her 227, 755 followers who responded with messages of congratulations and compliments on her unconventional dress. "Happiest day of my life," tweeted Josh in reply. "Love you, @shenaegrimes aka Mrs. Beech x x."
"@shenaegrimes @iamjoshbeech I love you both!" said Shenae's 90210 co-star AnnaLynne McCord, who was there to celebrate with the couple. "Thank you for showing me how special the dedication of marriage can be! Such an amazing night! A." As well as the £3,200 dress, Shenae completed her look by wearing her glossy hair in a chignon and carrying a bouquet of bright red flowers.
Shenae and Josh, who met last year and got engaged in December, had previously hinted that the occasion would be done their way and not be an over-the-top affair. "We're just kind of taking it easy, doing it our way" said Shenae in an interview with Life & Style magazine. "We're very, very low-key. We just want to get married."
Shenae is best known for playing Annie Wilson in the American teen drama 90210, which is now coming to an end after five series. Now that filming for the show is over Shenae has been turning her hand to designing. The star has collaborated with her new husband's fashion brand, Cut and Run, to create a range of women's jewelry. The online company sells clothes and accessories modelled by the newlyweds themselves.
