Walking out onto the stage hand-in-hand, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon brought a touch of glamour to the first live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent. The two ladies went for contrasting looks on the big night, but both had really dressed to impress. Mum-of-two Amanda, 42, chose a floor-length floral dress by @JAton Couture that featured a plunging neckline and heels by Charlotte Olympia. She wore her hair in a voluminous style — which was quickly picked up on by her co-judge Simon Cowell, who commented how "massive" the show was going to be. "Massive like your hair," he quipped.Alesha, 34, meanwhile kept it short and sweet for the first live event, showing off her endless legs in a small white and berry printed dress, teamed with matching shoes and lipstick.
It proved to be an exciting start to the live semi finals. Operatic brothers Richard and Adam came out on top after gaining the most votes, but the panel couldn't decide on the second act to be out through.New dad David Walliams and Amanda chose singer Arisxandra Libantino, 11, while Alesha and Simon voted for dance troupe Youth Creation, to take it to the public vote.
"I knew this was going to happen — can't we put them both through? Can't I change the rules?" Simon said as he took it to deadlock. "You're both winners, both of you. I actually can't make my mind up… I'm going to take it to the public vote by saying Youth Creation. "In the end it was singing sensation Arisxandra who became the second act to go through, meaning she will join Richard and Adam at the live final on 8 June.
