Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Kanye West have been brought even closer by the birth of their baby daughter, and are keen to marry soon, according to sources. "They'll start planning their next project, a wedding, sooner rather than later," a source told People. "He definitely wants to marry her, he hasn't left her side." Kanye is said to be "in love" with his baby, and is already showing great parenting skills. "He doesn't leave the room," said reality TV star Larsa Pippen, a close friend of Kim. "He's, like, in love with the baby. It's so cute."
Kanye rushed to be with Kim when she went into premature labour in about the 37th week of her pregnancy. She had a natural birth and delivered on Saturday, and it has since been reported that the early delivery could have been triggered from pre-eclampsia, a medical condition marked by high blood pressure. Kim's blood pressure was said to be "skyrocketing" with "the baby in distress," according to US Weekly. She will no doubt be resting and taking extra precautions over the next couple of weeks, as advised by her doctor. "For the next two weeks, Kim wants Kanye around 24/7," a source told the magazine. "Kim is a bit freaked out, but the baby's breathing is fine."
To add to her medical worries, Kim is said to be having trouble breastfeeding. "She has been telling friends that it is really hard, so we don't know how much longer she's really going to do it," a family source said. During her pregnancy, Kim has suffered various medical conditions and health scares. The swelling could have been a symptom of pre-eclampsia, and Kim herself complained about her swollen feet and ankles. She wisely ditched her high heels on several occasions and walked around in flip flops, and sought medical advice when her condition worsened. "My doctor has told me to elevate my feet," she previously said. "Can you see how wide and swollen they are? I've just ordered a pair of pointy-toed flats."
Kim was also seen suffering from a stomach infection in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and was rushed to her doctor, and was told it could have been appendicitis. Since the birth, the Kardashian baby has been monitored in an incubator, a standard procedure for a premature baby, and both mother and daughter are said to be "doing well". "It all happened so fast," said Kris Jenner, Kim's mother. "They're doing well." Friends of Kim have been visiting and showering Kim and her daughter with gifts and praise.
Her closest girlfriend Brittny Gastineau was one of the first lucky people to visit Kim at the hospital, and was accompanied by her mother Lisa. She arrived at the hospital with pink flowers and a little gift for the baby girl. "The baby is beyond beautiful," she said. "Everything we expected. I'm so happy for the couple. "I'm so excited for my best friend to have this amazing gift and for us to continue this journey together." Clearly touched by the moment, she later tweeted, "Beautiful night w friends. You realize what this all thing called life is about #bestfriends #moments #babies."
