As members of the world's biggest boy band, One Direction's Harry Styles and Niall Horan are used to being surrounded by adoring fans. This week though, they were left decidedly star-struck as they met their musical heroes, The Rolling Stones. The excited pair turned up to watch the band rock Washington DC on the last US date of their 50 And Counting Tour. Afterwards, they headed backstage were they hung out with the Stones, who will perform at Glastonbury this weekend.
Delighted Niall posted a picture on Twitter taken with guitarist Ronnie Wood, 66, and thanked him and his wife Sally, 35, for a great night. "Unbelievable experience tonight… massive thanks to @sallywood @ronniewood and @therollingstones a great gig…and for being so nice tonight," he wrote.Rocker Ronnie returned the compliment, sharing a photo taken with Niall and Harry. "Great to see you tonight @NiallOfficial & @Harry_Styles - glad you enjoyed the show! :)"A source said, "One Direction are massive Rolling Stones fans, especially Niall and Harry, and when they heard they were in town there was no way they were going to miss seeing them play.
"The fact they got backstage and got to meet their heroes meant their night couldn't have gone any better. They had an incredible night. "Niall and Harry, both 19, weren't the only stars who turned up to see the English rock band perform in the capital. Lenny Kravitz was spotted grinning from ear-to-ear as he arrived at the arena, clearly excited to see a group who have had a big influence on his own music.
