Ever since Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ picturesque wedding in South Carolina last September, fans have been waiting for the couple to announce a pregnancy.
Recently the rumour mill went into overdrive when the Gossip Girl actress, 25, wore a long cardigan as a cover-up to Ryan's premiere of Turbo on July 9, despite the hot weather, causing several media outlets to speculate that the actress was pregnant.
Media reports have claimed that the couple were waiting until the beginning of the second trimester before revealing the news.
Now, though, Blake’s publicist has confirmed that the rumours are false and that the couple are not expecting.
“The story is 100% false. Blake is not pregnant,” clarified the representative.
And while a baby might not be on the way at the moment, Ryan hasn’t been shy about revealing their plans to start a family in the future.
“We’d love to have a big family,” he told Details magazine earlier this year.“We both come from big families - my parents did four, Blake’s did five.”
“A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think,” he said.
Ryan is the youngest of four brothers and has admitted that he is worried that he will only have sons.
'I’m terrified that I’m genetically predisposed to only having boys,' he confessed.
The stars have recently moved out of their Bedford home, one hour outside New York, and bought a four-bedroom mansion in the countryside, boasting 1.7 acres of land costing a reported $2.3million.
The celebrity couple began their romance back in 2010 during filming of the Green Lantern. While Ryan is busy promoting his films, Turbo and RIPD, at the moment, the Sisterhood of the travelling pants actress has been focusing on her role as a spokeswoman for designer labels Chanel and Gucci.
