July 29, 2013

Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith has created a time capsule for Prince George, and it includes a copy of HELLO! magazine. The gift for the newborn Prince is also filled with a DVD of the epic moment when Andy Murray won Wimbledon, as well as all the newspapers from the day Prince George was born.Gary, 47, opted for a very personal touch for his older sister Carole's first grandchild, also saving the top ten albums, the bestselling novel One Day by David Nicholls, the Big Issue magazine and baby-sized England football and rugby kits for baby George Alexander Louis when he's older.

Kate's uncle said that the idea of creating a time capsule came to him when his daughter Tallulah, 11, was born. "I did a time capsule when she was born so she thought it would be lovely to replicate that," he told the Mail on Sunday.

"One day, when George is old enough to look at it, it will remind him of the year he was born. "Of the moment when his niece Kate and her husband Prince William appeared before the world for the first time with their baby son, he says, "It was such a moving moment. My wife Julie-Ann was in tears and I felt really emotional.

"It's quite incredible to think that, as Catherine's uncle, a future King of England now has my family blood in his veins. "It brought back loads of memories for me.

I remember the moment I first held Catherine – I fell in love with her instantly. Now Catherine is a mother herself and we are all incredibly proud of her. "I thought it was wonderful that when she came out of hospital she looked like any other brand-new mum.

"She was incredibly poised and beautiful but there was nothing posed about her. There is a classy informality to everything she and William do. "As such a close member of the Middletons' tight-knit family, it's no wonder that he was in his friends' thoughts when the news broke that Kate was admitted to St Mary's hospital in Paddington. "Within 30 seconds, my phone had gone into meltdown.

I had text after text from friends telling me to turn on the television. I went straight into the lounge and sat down with a cup of tea watching everything unfold," said the excited great-uncle.
