Lucy Mecklenburgh's blossoming romance with The Wanted singer Max George seems to be going from strength to strength, with Lucy calling her new boyfriend the "best-looking guy" she's ever been with. The brunette beauty, 21, has said Max is a breath of fresh air compared to the men she's met in the past. She has previously dated former TOWIE stars Mark Wright and Mario Falcone, the latter to whom she was engaged. "Max couldn't be any more different and I find that really hot," said Lucy, speaking to The Sun on Sunday and referring to her past boyfriends in general. "It's appealing to me that he isn't into preening at all and is more of a bloke."
"When I was with Mark, he got more beauty stuff done than I did," she was quoted as saying. "He was obsessed with his looks — I'd be doing my make-up in the mirror and he'd come up behind me and start posing. "Mark, who is currently dating Max's ex-fiancé Michelle Keegan, subsequently launched into an explosive Twitter rant in retaliation. "I don't normally do this but after 3 yrs & someone who can't even be classed as an X (1 date) has used my name to get headlines again," tweeted Mark. "Nothing but a kiss & tell girl with no class or dignity. It's low enough that you've been seeing someone for a month & already sold your story," he wrote. "And for the record I've never got ready in front of you in my life which makes one of your comments an out right lie. So lying to earn money."
It seems Lucy's words were taken out of context as the TOWIE star tried to clear her name on Twitter and responded to Mark's accusations. "I did an interview in good faith & about various things. I never said that headline & it's really upset me," she posted. "& I said Essex boys in general r really groomed I WASN'T referring to mark at all!!!!" she added.Lucy seemed to have moved on from the Twitter spat by Monday morning and focused on her new fitness regime.
The TOWIE star, who was recently crowned best bikini body of the year, tweeted a link to her website.Lucy has been dating Max for a month and revealed the start of their flirtation on an episode of TOWIE, after the pair were spotted canoodling in the VIP section of G-A-Y nightclubin London.
"We've been messaging," said Lucy, on the show. "He invited me to his gig. He's really nice, but it's very, very, very early stages."
