Peter Andre and girlfriend Emily MacDonagh revealed they were expecting a baby the same day the royal baby, Prince George, was born.
HELLO! Online takes a look at the three-year romance which has sparked questions of the couple relocating to Australia. The pair met in 2010 after Peter fell ill with kidney stones and was treated by Emily's father Ruaraidh MacDonagh.
Ruaraidh, known as Ru, is a urology consultant and also operated on Peter's dad, Savvas. "Peter became very close to him and his family and his relationship with Emily developed from there," said a source.
As pregnancy rumours surrounded the couple, a spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, "It is true that they are expecting a baby, they are over the moon."
The 23-year-old has appeared on her beau's ITV2 reality show, Peter Andre: My Life, where she said, "I hope his family like me and I know he feels the same way, as what your family think is so important."
Mysterious Girl singer Peter has two children with ex-wife Katie Price, Junior, 8, and six-year-old Princess Tiaamii.
Ex-glamour model Katie, who is also pregnant, tweeted her best wishes to the couple, "Genuine congratulations to Pete and Emily and I hope they are very happy – kids excited xxx"
Although Emily is 17 years his junior, Peter doesn't see this as a problem.
"Emily will make a brilliant mum," he said. "What impresses me the absolute most is the way she is with the kids. "Emily is the eldest of five children and grew up with her brothers in Bridgwater, Somerset. She was accepted to study medicine Bristol University.
"Emily has just finished her degree at Bristol University and has passed all her exams," a source close to the couple said. "She still wants to have a career as a doctor, so it is very unlikely that she will be a stay-at-home mum."
Peter joined his adoring girlfriend as she graduated in January and tweeted a picture of them together, "Congrats to my Emily who graduated today. Bachelor of Science with Honours. Proud of you :)"Australian-born Peter talked about returning to his home country one day. "When the kids are old enough and when I'm older, I'll go because that's also my home," he said.
On his show, the singer broached the subject with Emily, asking her if she would move to Australia with him in 10 years time.
Excited Peter responded, "That's what makes you special! Do you know what's special about it? It's that you think that far ahead. That's what I love about you. I think it's beautiful. "Emily has been a tower of strength helping Peter when grieving the death of his older brother Andrew who passed away in December after battling cancer.
Now the couple have the birth of their first child to look forward to and hopefully a new series of Peter's reality TV show.
The future mother of his child agreed.
