The Oscar-winning actress is jetting Down Under to direct her latest project, World War II drama Unbroken. With her partner Brad Pitt, 49, busy shooting his new film Fury in England, she is keeping her young family by her side. It is thought that Angelina will remain in Australia with her children until December. She paid a whirlwind 24-hour visit there in July to inspect possible locations in Sydney and the Gold Coast and is now expected to remain there for the next few months.

The globe-trotting family often relocate for Brad and Angelina's film work. In 2012, they stayed at the £ 10 million Wentworth Estate in Surrey, near London, while Angelina filmed Maleficent and Brad worked on scenes for The Counselor as well as parts of World War Z.

It has also been reported that the Hollywood power couple will return to the UK next year while Brad films the sequel to the post-apocalyptic thriller.

Unbroken tells the remarkable true story of Olympic track star and war hero Louie Zamperini, who survived for 47 days without food or water when his plane crashed into the Pacific in 1943.

He endured shark attacks and aerial attacks before he was captured by the Japanese and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. It's a story very close to Angelina’s heart. In July, she said in a statement, "I've had the privilege of spending a great deal of time with Louie Zamperini, who is a hero of mine, and now – I am proud to say – a dear friend. "I am deeply honoured to be telling his extraordinary story, and I will do my absolute best to give him the film he deserves."
