Social media silence has sparked speculation that Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne have ended their romance. The Twitter-savvy stars, who would frequently send each other public tweets, have not mentioned each other for several weeks — and noticeably, did not refer to each other when Shane celebrated his 44th birthday last week.Former cricketer Shane, currently at home in Australia, thanked friends and family for his birthday messages, but failed to mention his fiancée, who was back in England.
That same day, Elizabeth posted just one tweet; "Escapism please. John Buchan's Greenmantle. Perfect," alongside a picture of the book.
Since then she has updated followers on life at her Gloucestershire farm, with her most recent messages written on Sunday. "Rainy and miserable. Shivering in the country', she wrote, followed by, "Just spent an hour fixing the alpaca fence…"Shane, meanwhile, posted a cryptic tweet on 8 September. "Something to think about, it's not what happens in your life, it's how you react to what life throws at u, in both the good & bad times!"Shane and Elizabeth's silence on Twitter is all the more noticeable given their prolific use of the social media site.
The couple were first linked in July 2010 when they were photographed chatting together at the Glorious Goodwood Festival in Sussex.Elizabeth, who last tweeted Shane on 1st September to mark Australia's Father's Day, announced the end of her marriage to Arun Nayar via Twitter in the December, confirming that the pair had been separated for a few months.Around the same time, Shane confirmed on the site that he was no longer with his ex wife Simone Callahan, with who he had reconciled following their 2007 divorce. After a year of dating, the couple announced on Twitter that they were engaged following Shane's proposal at St Andrews in Scotland in October 2011.
