Natalie Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied make handsome couple at NYC Ballet Gala hosted by SJP

Natalie Portman shone on the red carpet at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala alongside her dashing French husband Benjamin Millepied.The Oscar-winning actress looked as stunning as ever in a couture Christian Dior textured gown featuring blocks of vibrant colours turquoise, yellow and black.Natalie, 32, went for smoky eyes and nude lips to finish the winning look, as she stepped out to support her award-winning choreographer husband, whose work was to be seen later on stage.

Benjamin, who will take over as the new Director Of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet next year, looked dapper at New York's Koch Theatre in a black suit, crisp white shirt with black buttons and a black bow tie.The glamorous gala, which celebrated dance and fashion with three world premiere ballets, was attended by the likes of Drew Barrymore, Victoria's Secret beauty Doutzen Kroes and Nicky Hilton – and hosted by actress and trained dancer Sarah Jessica Parker. For the occasion, the actress/producer embraced her inner ballerina with a beautiful soft-hued voluminous silk gown, which featured a baby pink bodice and cream skirt.

The creation was a collaboration of renowned designer Olivier Theyskins – who made the full floor-sweeping skirt – and Prabal Gurung – who was behind the pretty bustier top.SJP teamed her magnificent gown with drop diamond earrings and Manolo Blahnik shoes. A simple yet sleek ponytail finished her picture-perfect look.Sarah Jessica Parker, famously known for playing Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, arrived pretty in pink at the star-studded event with the two designers behind her dress.

Prabal Gurung and Olivier Theysken had teamed up with choreographers Justin Peck and Angelin Preljocaj respectively to design the costumes for the night's performances. "I was very much inspired by the emotion in the piece and wanted the costumes to mirror the highs and lows," famed designer Prabal says of creating his costumes for the ballet gala.
