Five months after the collapse of their 15 year marriage, Paul Hollywood and his wife Alexandra are back on friendly terms. The couple exchanged tweets this week following a family meal out at a Thai restaurant to celebrate their son Josh's 12th birthday.
And judging by the messages, the couple have put any animosity aside following their shock split.
On Monday night, Alexandra, 49, tweeted, "Out to dinner for Birthday Eve celebration dinner for Josh #lovegoingoutfordinner. "She later posted a photo of her main meal: "Thx for all your tweets… We had a lovely family meal out… Tom yum - yummy!"
The following morning, her estranged husband Paul, 47, tweeted, "Nice birthday eve dinner for Josh last night with the family… #cantbelievehes12.
Paul Hollywood's wife tweeted a picture of the birthday cake
"And a huge Happy Birthday Josh x "Hollywood_wife," he added, tagging Alexandra's handle. She later replied, ":-)"
Great British Bake Off star Paul and his wife separated in May soon after he returned from filming the American Baking Competition with co-star Marcela Valladolid.
The 'George Clooney of baking' left his marital home amid rumours he had started dating the Mexican pastry chef.
Divorced mum-of-one Marcela, the American version of Mary Berry, and Paul are said to have "hit it off from day one" with Tequila brand owner Marcella describing him as a "handsome devil".
Alexandra has since filed for divorce from Paul on the grounds of adultery , which he has not contested.
In an interview with the Mail last month, she said, "What happened to me does not define me. That's not me. What defines me is cooking for family and friends and my son Joshy."
I cannot just sit in a soggy heap. I have to do something. This is about me now. I have to be a happy, strong, confident person for my son.
"Meanwhile, her husband took the blame for the break down of his 15 year marriage in an interview with the Daily Mirror earlier this year. "It's my fault. I am very sad about what happened," he said. "I do feel very sad about it and what it brought on the family."
