Helena Bonham Carter has dismissed claims that her long-term partner Tim Burton has been unfaithful. Less than 24 hours after pictures emerged of what appeared to be the director apparently kissing a mystery blonde, Helena has condemned the speculation as "absolute nonsense".
Speaking to the Daily Express, the 47-year-old's spokesperson said: "This is absolute nonsense, the pictures were taken whilst they were out and the large group includes family, friends and work colleagues. On Thursday, photographs surfaced of Tim in what was claimed to be an apparent embrace with a mystery women after heading out to the cinema to see cult classic, The Wicker Man.
The 55-year-old has been in a relationship with Helena for 12 years, and while they are known for their unconventional relationship — they live in neighboring London houses — they are thought to be very much together. In an interview in 2010, Helena labelled Tim her "soulmate" and said more than once that she feels "very lucky" to have met him and had his children.
"It's really enchanting. It's such a nice life and we have fun," she said. "Tim is a great find. I think our sensibilities go well together. He is dynamic and funny, and we are soul mates.
"When we finally started going out, people were like, 'How come it took so long for you to see it?'. But I suppose for a long time I didn't look at him in that way. Now it's like, 'Oh, of course it had to be him'."
The couple were last seen together in public in March of this year when they attended an event together with their children, Billy, ten, and Nell, five. They are known for their big screen collaborations, with Helena appearing in seven films directed by her partner to date.
