Kris Jenner couldn't help hiding her enthusiasm at the news of her daughter Kim Kardashian's engagement to Kanye West. The media mogul was quick to congratulate the lovebirds, and said she was 'so happy' for the new parents.
"A match made in heaven," Kris called the betrothed couple, speaking to E! News. "I am so happy for both of my kids, Kim and Kanye."
Kris has made no secret of her fondness for her future son-in-law. The Kardashian matriarch recently invited Kanye on her talk show, Kris, where the rapper shared the first photograph of the family's latest arrival, baby North West.
"I love Kanye so much, and he's such an amazing boyfriend to Kim and a great dad and a wonderful person," Kris has previously said.
"He's creative and he's an amazing, amazing human being, he really is. And he doesn't always do interviews and get the chance to really express himself like that, so I was really glad that I got a chance to sit down and talk with him."
According to the publication, Kanye asked for Kim's hand in marriage on Monday night. The rapper reportedly hired out the AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco to make his proposal extra special.
An eyewitness reported that a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey's song Young and Beautiful followed by Kanye's own love song to Kim, Knock You Down.
The stadium screen then flashed the sign, "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" at which point Kanye got down on one knee to present the mother of his daughter with a 15-carat diamond ring by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz.
The romantic gesture was accompanied by fireworks and this being the Kardashians, who are famously close, her family and friends were also present.
