First look: Johnny Depp and Kate Moss in Paul McCartney's star-studded Queenie Eye music video

October 25, 2013

Johnny Depp, Kate Moss, Meryl Streep, Sean Penn, Jude Law, Jeremy Irons, Chris Pine…

Sir Paul McCartney's most famous friends make special guest appearances in the music video for his new single, Queenie Eye. The video opens with Sir Paul heading to a grand piano to record the track in what he thinks is an empty studio at Abbey Road. As the upbeat song develops, the studio slowly starts to fill up with well-known stars — unbeknownst to Paul — who are all seen reacting to the song in different ways.

The first A-list interloper is Johnny, who sits at the foot of Paul's piano listening to the single on headphones.

From there, a host of celebrities appear on screen, whether dancing seductively along like Kate, jumping up and down like James Corden or writhing around on the piano like actress Alice Eve.

Queenie Eye is taken from Sir Paul's album NEW, which was launched last week.

The single is based on a childhood chant Paul remembers from his childhood in Liverpool, "Queenie eye, Queenie eye, who's got the ball? It isn't in my pocket. O-U-T spells out!".

"It came from a street game I used to play as a kid," the Beatles icon revealed. "This kind of things always stick with you. I always liked the rhythm of the chant."
